Why Floridist exists
Floridist is a family-owned lawn and landscape company based in Palm Beach County. We install and renovate sod, and we run soil-first treatment programs that keep lawns, palms, trees, and shrubs healthy once the sod is down — for homeowners, HOAs, property managers, businesses, schools, and athletic facilities.
Too many companies show up, throw down sod or spread a bag of fertilizer, collect a check, and disappear. We started Floridist because we knew there was a better way to do this — one that treats the soil under the grass as seriously as the grass on top of it, and builds long-term fertility instead of chasing short-term color that fades between visits.
Sandy soil, alkaline pH, afternoon thunderstorms, year-round heat, and a June–September fertilizer blackout: it’s a completely different game down here, and a generic program printed on the back of a bag isn’t going to cut it. Sod Installation & Renovation
Fresh-cut, certified Florida-grown sod on a properly prepared site — new construction, a lawn beyond saving, or a first lawn going in. The difference between an install that lasts for years and one that thins in a season is almost entirely in the preparation.
Best for: bare ground, failed or thinning lawns past treating, standing-water or drainage problems, HOA violation notices, or switching to a grass that actually fits your site.
