Choose Your Grass Type, Measure Your Lawn, Get Your Quote
We use only the highest quality sod, directly sourced from local, reputable sod farms across South Florida. Our commitment to quality ensures that all sod is cut and installed on the same day of delivery. This helps to reduce shrinkage and gaps in your lawn, which improves the turf’s ability to crowd out weeds while the new sod takes root.
How many pallets of sod will I need?
Determining the number of pallets you’ll need depends on the size of the project area. One pallet typically covers approximately 450-500 square feet, but this can vary slightly based on the grass type you choose.
To get a better idea, you can measure your lawn using our handy sod pallet calculator, and consult with our team for recommendations on the best sod variety for your needs and budget. If you aren’t sure of how to measure your lawn, we have a calculator for that, too!

2. Measure your lawn
Measuring your lawn can help you determine precisely how many pallets of sod you’ll need. It’s relatively easy to do, and all you’ll need is a tape measurer and a calculator. You can also use lawn area calculator below once you have your perimeter measurements.
Steps for measuring your lawn:
- Divide the Lawn into Sections: Break the lawn into rectangles, squares, and triangles for simplicity.
- Measure Each Section:
- Rectangles/Squares: Measure length and width, then multiply (Length x Width).
- Triangles: Measure length and width, then multiply (Length x Width).
- Record Measurements: Note down the measurements and calculated areas.
- Add up the Areas: Add the areas of all sections, and this is your total project area.
Example:
- Rectangle: 10 ft (Length) x 20 ft (Width) = 200 sq ft
- Triangle: 15 ft (Base) x 10 ft (Height) = 75 sq ft (15 x 10 / 2)
- Total Project Area = 200 + 75 = 275 sq ft
